Family Fun

One of the great things about our being in Iowa is that apart from the 3 months we spent in Houston right after we were married, it is the first time we have been blessed to be close to family. The kids have loved getting to know their cousins (Ethan calls all of them his "friends"), and we love that they have this opportunity to gain a great relationship with their Grandma and Grandpa Hunger. Another blessing is that within an hour and a half drive live two Great Grandma's (and a few great aunts!) that we recently spent a fun weekend visiting and introducing them to the newest addition to our family.

At Grandma Hungers house, Allison didn't want to get off!

Ever make smores in the microwave? Auntie made some for the kids. I think they liked watching the marshmallows puff up even more than they liked eating the smores!

Looks like fun! The best part about living anywhere is having those you love close by. I do smores at home in the broiler. Broil marshmallows for a minute or two and they are perfectly golden and delicious. Even better, pop them between two fudge stripe cookies and it's the perfect smore!!

It was fun to talk to you the other day! That must be so fun living by so much family. The pictures were fun to see, I am hungry for smores now.

I love those pictures of Nicole with her Great-grandma and it's so cute that Ethan calls all his cousins his friends! Well, they are, aren't they? What a sweet boy. Love ya'll and miss you!
